Moon Called by Patricia Briggs

Summary: Mercy Thompson's sexy next-door neighbor is a werewolf.

She's tinkering with a VW bus at her mechanic shop that happens to belong to a vampire.

But then, Mercy Thompson is not exactly normal herself...and her connection to the world of things that go bump in the night is about to get her into a whole lot of trouble.

Review: I can't begin to express how excited I was to start this series over again. I read the first 3 books a couple of years ago, but I never got around to reading the rest as they came out. Now I have all the ones released so I can finally get to it. The characters are all wonderful. Mercy is strong, but kind and Adam is all kinds of hot. Sam? Oh yeah. Sam is pretty amazing too. My favorite character is probably Jesse, but Warren is a pretty close second. I think they're both pretty great considering how different they are compared to everyone else they surround themselves with.

The story was great. I like how you get introduced to the weres, vamps, and fae in this book, but the story mostly sticks with the wolves. I like the introduction of walkers as well. I've never heard of that, but I like the connection to Native American culture. I also like how a few characters die in this book. That probably sounds awful, but it shows that Patricia isn't going to hold back when she writes. You get introduced to some potentially great characters, but some of them die. It's sad, but great. I am so happy to be back in this world. I've missed it quite a lot. I recommend this book for any fan of Urban Fantasy.
