Blood Bound by Patricia Briggs

Summary: Mechanic Mercy Thompson has friends in low places-and in dark ones. And now she owes one of them a favor. Since she can shapeshif at will, she agrees to act as some extra muscle when her vampire friend Stefan goes to deliver a message to another of his kind.

But this new vampire is hardly ordinary-and neither is the demon inside of him.

Review: What I love most about the world Patricia Briggs has created is that she lets each book focus on a specific paranormal aspect. Moon Called focused on the werewolves in Mercy's life, and Blood Bound focuses on the vampires. I like Stefan as a character so I was excited to read more about him, but you still get your fair share of wolves in this book as well. You meet other interesting characters like Wulfe, Andre, Lily, Estelle, and Marsilia. The seethe sounds like a terrifying place to be. This new vampire causes a lot a problems for Mercy, the wolves, and the vamps so naturally they want to stop him. Of course if things went smoothly then it wouldn't be a very interesting story. Some characters got hurt. Some characters died. I am very pleased with this book and I can't wait to finish catching up on the series.
