Review: The Prince and the Dressmaker seemed to make its rounds a bit ago from graphic novel reviewers. I just recently picked this up, and it was delightful. We follow Frances who becomes employed by Prince Sebastian to make dresses for his other persona, Lady Crystallia. At its core, this book is really about passion and being loved unconditionally. Frances has an incredible eye for fashion, and this definitely gets noticed. She also gets hurt as Sebastian is more concerned with keeping his secret than helping Frances reach her goals.

I loved seeing Frances and Sebastian develop a relationship. I will say, this is not the book for you if you are hoping for a light-hearted read. Sebastian is set on hiding Lady Crystallia from the world. People who are proud of their identities might not enjoy this aspect very much. He also gets outed, which is also rough to read. Still, The Prince and the Dressmaker ends on a high note and is a very fun read, overall.

Cute graphic novel that hits hard, but still has a ton of charm.
